It's my opinion that quality products available to women with textured hair are almost non-existent in the United States. The Dominican Republic is made up of a 75% African decent population, with hair textures ranging from tight and kinky, soft and curly, to smooth and wavy - so their hair products naturally cater to textured hair. This is in comparison to the 12.3% of Blacks/African Americans in the United States with hair textures identical to those of Dominicans. It's because of those numbers that I believe the Dominican products work better with textured hair than the products available to us in the United States.
Universally, hair is a major topic for all women, no matter the texture. And whether you desire long, medium or short hair - every woman wants it to be healthy. While I don't believe in "e;good"e; or "e;bad"e; hair, I do believe in "e;good"e; and "e;bad"e; hair products. So, in a country like the Dominican Republic where the majority of women have textured, healthy, beautiful long hair...it's a big deal and I want to share these products with you. - Jennifer Drew (Founder, RoundBrush!)
Alone...no, but with a regimen your hair responds well to...yes. Using any one product or products alone without a working regiment willnotmake your hair grow. However, products are an important part of growing your hair. The right products and a good regimen dictate whether your hair is the healthiest it can be, and with those two things in place, you optimize the potential of your hair. Check out our forum to ask questions and get help figuring out what might work for you. If you already have a regimen, please share it with fellow RoundBrushHair! members.
No. As a matter of fact, they're probably cheaper or about the same price as the products you're currently using.
The primary goal of RoundBrushHair! is to have a community of women with healthy beautiful hair at whatever length they desire. Our logistics team at RoundBrushHair! work constantly with Dominican manufactures to find economical ways to import these products so prices are always reasonable. At RoundBrushHair! we keep prices low because having healthy hair shouldn't be a privilege, but a necessity.
Yes, yes and yes. The majority of women in the Dominican Republic wear their hair relaxed. If you're repairing your relaxed hair, these products are formulated to help with dry, breaking and split ended hair. If you want products that will protect or compliment your relaxed hair, these products are developed to provide maximum moisture, increase volume, add shine and keep your hair strong.
Women who wear their hair natural love these products too. They're particularly attracted to these products because of the natural oils, herbs and minerals found in them. Avocado; cinnamon; seed extracts; aloe vera; jojoba, castor, tomato, cod liver and olive oil; carrot; almond and rosemary just to name a few :--) . In addition to the ingredients, naturals find these products help with detangling and leaves their hair soft and manageable.
Retaining moisture is the biggest hurdle for women with colored hair or hair exposed to a lot sun. In a tropical climate like the Dominican Republic, having products that provide maximum moisture is a requirement - so these products are ideal for women with colored hair as well.
If you're anything like the majority of women when it comes to hair products, you want to walk into a store, smell the products, read the labels, check the color, and did I mention smell the products? Well here, you clearly can't smell the products but we do our best to provide you with the most information possible. Translations from English to Spanish are available in each product section.
Most sites that sell hair products have you search for products by product type (i.e., Shampoo, Conditioner, etc.) That's not very helpful here, so we've made it so that you search by hair type (i.e., relaxed, natural, colored etc.) or hair condition (i.e., damaged, split ends, repair etc.) Hopefully, that will help you get started and give you some guidance to keep you from looking like a deer caught in headlights.
If you're still having trouble finding the right product, try looking through our testimonials to see what have worked for women/men with similar hair textures.
